One of Vienna’s most colourful and amazing art installations is the Hundertwasser-Haus. It is a brightly coloured facade with organic shapes and forms. It was converted into an apartment complex in 1985. The artist and architect Hundertwasser wanted to create a residential area that alluded to harmony and form as well borrowing inspiration from nature. Underneath the apartments there is a museum and further down the street there are more organic, colourful Hundertwasser forms along the walls. This is one of Vienna’s more modern sites and definitely a must-see. It is a feast for your eyes.
