BOXWALLA + TWELVE BEAUTY

The April Boxwalla showcased two unique and incredible products from the Twelve Skincare line: the London Mask (my absolute favourite) and the Ideal brightening Corrective Serum. Both products are outstanding and demonstrate Dr Pedro’s talent at creating plant based products that perform.

The London Mask is like no other, this pretty pink mask will have you masking every other night. An impressive mask that effectively treats skin. Typically most clay based masks dry out the skin or leave it feeling tight and stripped. The London Mask provides skin with moisturise and has a soothing effect. I found the mask works to combat dullness and redness as well. Formulated to treat the most sensitive skin types this lush mask has been very effective on my oily skin. All skin types will benefit from this mask, as it was inspired and created by Dr Pedro to help combat the stresses and pollution of living in London. With an abundance of gentle yet powerful plants this mask delivers a detoxing yet soothing result. A great mask to pop on the end of the day that aids in eliminating daily toxins and pollution build up as well proving skin with a brighter complexion.

The second product featured is the Ideal Brightening Corrective Serum. Like all Twelve Beauty products this serum delivers hydration, potent herbal ingredients and skin loving results. As the name suggests it has been formulated to treat and correct a variety of skin concerns making it a multitasking serum. This smooth serum consists of 12 effective herbs that work in harmony together to help treat dark spots, acne scars, sun damaged skin as well as the brightening tone and complexion of the skin. It has a creamy, gel like consistency is light weight and easily absorbed into the skin. An ideal evening treatment that can be layered with a face oil or moisturise and making it a perfect corrective skin booster. The results from this serum are powerful and will amaze you. OCINIUM SKINCARE

Ocinium has been on my radar for a while, as they are a luxurious beauty brand with a range of very interesting products backed by clinical science.

This Australian beauty brand focuses on the skin-enhancing powers of natural ingredients and combines this with cosmeceutical actives to deliver a range of skincare that is formulated without sulfates, silicones, parabens and is cruelty free.

I have tried the Ocinium Age-Defiance Discovery Pack. This is a great way to introduce yourself to the products, test them and see how they perform for your skin. This little set of three mini Ocinium products, features the Ecdysis Cleanser, Immortelle Vitamin B3 Serum and Metamorphis Crème. This trio is designed to boost collagen, promote DNA repair, reduce the early signs of fine lines and wrinkles and deliver age-defying benefits to address modern skin concerns.

The Ocinium Ecdysis Cleanser is a cream based cleanser that has worked wonderfully on my (oily/combo) skin. It not only effectively cleanses, it also gently exfoliates the skin as well. Formulated with probiotic fruit ferments, alpha-hydroxy acids and enzymes, the cleanser promotes cellular turnover, brightness the complexion and leaves skin feeling balanced. A great and impressive cleanser that can easily be incorporated into your a.m. and p.m. routine.

The Immortelle Vitamin B3 Serum is undeniably my favourite product from the trio. Upon first use, this serum did wonders for my skin (Hello glowing skin). The B Vitamins and Hyaluronic Acid in the serum aid in repairing the upper most layer of the skin, providing hydration and moisture as well as treating an array of skin concerns. Think of this product a your one step solution to treating your skin’s issues. It is brimming with vitamins, plant based botanicals and antioxidants that assist the skin to look brighter and calmer. If you are after a serum that gives your skin that healthy glow, you definitely need to try this serum.

The Metamorphis Multi-Vitamin Crème is the last step in the trio and provides the skin with immediate hydration. The innovative formula of plant nutrients, antioxidants and actives protect the skin, stimulate collagen and promote cell renewal. Kate Bosworth is a fan of the wonderful Isun Skincare creations, in particular the Sapphire Facial Oil, calling it ” A bottle of Love”.

Isun Skincare believe in the power of nature and grow their plants (ingredients) so that they are not compromised with toxins or chemicals. The brand is truly committed in creating products that are infused with healing vibrations of light and energy.

I have fallen in love with the Isun Skincare products as they have treated and addressed my skin concerns instantly. They are truly potent, pure and allow skin to feel rejuvenated and nourished. For the last four to five months I have used the Clarity Facial Serum and the Rhassoul Crystal Exfoliant. These two products are wonderful for normal/oily skin types and help keep breakouts, inflammation and congestion at bay.

The Rhassoul Crystal Exfoliant is a mineral rich product and a great multitasker. Containing only two ingredients; Rhassoul Clay and Siliceous Earth (Ocean floor earth) this exfoliant helps skin look radiant and super smooth. I use it as the first step in my morning routine and if time permits, I also use it as face mask. You can also cleanse with it, exfoliate and use it as a refining face mask that helps eliminate impurities from the skin.

The Clarity Facial Serum is my HOLY GRAIL product and a necessity for any one with oily skin, blemishes, large pores and congestion. The soothing herbal and floral formula comfort skin and aid in the balance of excess oils. As well as calming redness and inflammation. I love how this serum is antibacterial, balancing and softening on the skin. This product also treats blackheads and congestion around the nose/chin. Especially when used in the evening. It is great at eliminating a shiny t-zone when used in the morning.

If you haven’t tried Isun Skincare or you’re after a truly pristine and organic skincare brand, I highly recommend trying this line. You won’t be disappointed.

MALDIVES

My recent trip to the Maldives was absolute BLISS! The only way to describe the Maldives is “Island Perfection”. It is absolutely stunning and pristine.

The Maldives is the perfect destination to soak up the sunshine, swim with turtles and manta rays, (that experience blew my mind), snorkel, drink fresh coconuts from the island and simply just relax. It’s definitely not hard to enjoy yourself or feel rejuvenated. You’re surrounded by stunning turquoise lagoons, white sand, crystal clear water, blue skies, palm trees and the most stunning coral reefs.

You know that saying “on island time”, well after spending a week in the Maldives, I have learnt to fully appreciate that saying. I love the Maldives!

NYC VIBES

No matter how many times I visit New York, it always feel like I’m discovering new things in the city. There is always so much to do and so much to see. It’s the kind of city where every minute counts, because there is an abundance of cool and amazing thing to do! I can never get enough of this city.

Make your own customised lipstick at the Bite Beauty Lab
Walk around NoLita, you will find some very cool street art
Have a matcha at Matcha Cha Cha

MALLORCA

Mallorca is one of my favourite European destinations. Palma De Mallorca is the Island’s capital, it’s stunning, quaint and cosmopolitan. It is also like a mini Barcelona. You will find impressive, colourful buildings designed by Guadi, the most authentic and delicious tapas, fabulous shopping as well as historical sites.

This Spanish Island has some of the worlds most beautiful beaches. There are over 200 beaches to discover on the Island. My favourite beaches are located in the area of Santanyí. This is a stunning and lovely part of Mallorca to visit or stay in.

I love Mallorca it’s the perfect holiday destination, you can relax, swim in crystal clear waters, shop and eat the best Spanish food.

Polka Dots

There’s something about polka dots that emanates a timeless, chic yet playful look. You can never go wrong with a polka dot dress. The polka dot pattern has always been one of my favourite prints.

Feeling like a Spanish señorita in Mallorca and definitely feeling the Island vibes with this gorgeous and flowing dress. I love how this dress perfectly flows with the Island breeze of Spain.

Belgium

BRUSSELS

BRUGGE

Belgium is a historic country, often referred to as the capital of Europe. It is well known for its architecture, medieval towns, delicious chocolates, waffles, mussels and beer.

Being my first time in Belgium, I was very excited about exploring Brussels and Brugge.

Brussels is the capital of Belgium and it is a charming city full of culture and history. The centre of Brussels is where you will a lot of the sights and attractions. The main attraction is the Grand Place, located in the central square. You will admire the Guild-houses in the Flemish baroque style. I also discovered that Tin Tin (comics) actually originated from Belgium. As an art student, I was also fascinated with the Baroque and Flemish artists, so it was very exciting to be able to visit their origins.

Besides all the stunning art and architecture, Brussels is lined with numerous chocolate and bon bon shops – and waffle houses! Get ready to eat some scrumptious waffles, chocolates and of course Belgium beer.

From Brussels you can do a day trip to Brugge, it’s only one hour on the train and definitely worth the trip.

Brugge is a stunning city that looks like a fairytale illustration. The Flemish city is picturesque, quaint and can easily be explored in couple of hours. The city is often referred to as Venice of the North due to it’s canals, thus you can take a boat ride and discover more of the city from the water. Walking around the cobble streets and lanes, you will be in awe of the almshouses, the architecture and historical churches.

I had the best hot chocolate in Brugge, in one of the most oldest and historic chocolate houses – called The Old Chocolate House. You know the hot chocolate is good when locals are drinking it. There are also gourmet waffles houses where you can indulge in a variety of waffles and flavours.

I loved discovering Brussels and Brugge, such charming and interesting cities to visit. I’d recommend 1-2 days for Brussels and day trip to Brugge.

BOXWALLA + EARTHWISE BEAUTY

I tried and recommend following beautiful ritual to protect, heal and nourish your skin:

If you’re into your health and wellness, or looking for a great way to detox, you are going to love Nimbus & Co.
